Easter is coming so Hazel takes Laura shopping. She is also planning for their road trip to Las Vegas, Bryce Canyon, Zion National Park, and the Grand Canyon.

This is a program from the Glendale Presbyterian Church with a soprano solo by Arnold's little sister Laura singing the hymn Whispering Hope.
It appears that Laura was a good singer and enjoyed singing. Arnold, however, could not carry a tune at all, nor can most of his sons (only the youngest can sing in key).

Arnold writes his family about their travel plans in June.
He hopes to attend "U of C" as an exchange student, but I am not sure which university that is. Probably it is University of California Berkeley — the original University of California from 1868 — and at this time in 1950 it is still considered a single university with multiple campuses.
