Arnold's Story: December 14, 1950

The 1950 Terry Rambler trailer was affectionately dubbed the "canned ham". Bill was a keen gadget purchaser; here we find him buying a new 16-inch GE television and giving his old one, a Crosby, to Leonard.

Arnold's Story: September 28, 1950

Apparently Jan Schuck missed seeing Arnold in Boston on his return from Newfoundland. She recently hiked Mt. Washington in New Hampshire with Ruth and Clem in a blizzard.

St. Anthony is a town on the tip of the Great Northern Peninsula of Newfoundland.

Arnold's Story: September 17, 1950

Tor Richter, another classmate from Harvard Medical School, writes Arnold with news from his class at Harvard Medical School. Some new names show up now: Al Skinner, Sarah, Bill Manson, Rutch, Al Damon, Marv Gordon, and Dave and Frances and Donald.

Arnold is now deciding whether he should pursue medical research or stick with his original plan to become a medical missionary in Korea.

Arnold's Story: September 14, 1950

Arnold, Clem Hiebert and Jerry Foster wrote up their summer work in Twillingate as a report to the Public Health Department. The other medical students were impressed that Arnold was able to take over the Lewisporte, Newfoundland, practice as a substitute doctor while their main doctor was on leave or vacation.

Arnold's Story: August 23, 1950

Leonard writes Arnold on a billing machine at the Ideal System Company office. 

Philip Wylie's book might be Generation of Vipers, a critique of contemporary American society, including Christianity, with numerous reprintings.

Leonard's sailboat is dubbed the Pixie. He tells a lively story of
