Arnold is finishing his training at Harvard and preparing to start at MIT. He and his friend Jim McDade went to North Boston to visit the neighborhood where his father, William Nevis, was born and spent a few early years before the Nevis family moved to Central California.
Arnold was enthusiastic about the 1944 biographical film Wilson, about former President Woodrow Wilson, directed by Henry King and starring Charles Coburn and Alexander Knox, among others.
The building is 21 Charter Street, Boston, Massachusetts. It would have been a fairly new building at the time of Bill's birth in 1890.
