At the end of July we pack up and ship our things home, then load the car to drive to Norway for a month long stay in Beitostølen, where Arnie attends an international conference and workshops.

We stopped off on a road trip to view the Hardangerjøkulen glacier and continued on to the Hardnger Fjord, where we stayed in Kinsarvik.

One night driving back to the hotel from a visit to one of the fjords, we saw a moose. It was late at night and Arnie backed up to see if he could get a photo; unfortunately he backed off the edge of the road and got the car stuck. We tried to push it out but could not. He sent me up one direction of the road and Allan down the other direction to warn any drivers of our dilemma. Suddenly there were three cars that stopped and got us back on the road. We did not see any more cars driving that night.

We pay a final visit to the Vigeland sculptures in
Frogner Park, Olso, on our way south to Göteborg to return the car to the Volvo factory for shipping from Sweden to the U.S.
