In the summer of 1965, the family drives out West to tour the sights and visit the California Nevises. They tour the Alamo in San Antonio, Texas, and stop in Zion National Park for some hiking.
In 1963 the boys were into the cowboy gear, but in 1965 their interest lay with the Plains Indians' headdress and moccasins.
