A letter and two postcards from Arnie to Newlin and the boys on Saturday, September 2, 1961. Arnie flew from Gainesville to Imeson Airport in Jacksonville and then to Newark, New Jersey, where due to a delay he missed a helicopter ride across New York Harbor to LaGuarida Airport, instead taking a small plane to New York International Airport for a KLM flight to Schipol. He met a number of colleagues and friends of acquaintances on the flights as Gainesville was a small city in 1961 (about 65,000).
