Newlin has flown down to Florida to visit her family in Crawfordville, just south of Tallahassee. Newlin and Eddie flew; Arnie drove down later. (Newlin said that Eddie was usually not much of an eater so she declined the stewardess offer of a second plate of food, but then Eddie ate her whole plate, so she arrived in Tallahassee hungry.) Arnold posted a notice on a community board for a a ride to accompany him (page 2, personal list, number 7). When the three of them return by car, Arnie discovers that Newlin is hopeless at giving directions and routes them somehow through Manhattan during rush hour and they end up stuck on the George Washington Bridge for three hours.
